A series of workshops based on the research and collections of the Bi History project, aimed at LGBTQ+ people – in particular bisexual+ people. The workshops will provide an opportunity to learn more about bisexual history, engage with that history directly through archival materials from the bi history collection, respond creatively to these histories by creating zines, and creating zines that are a record of bisexual history themselves. Workshops are open to all but will be most enjoyable and relevant for bisexual+ people and people from the wider LGBTQ+ community.
This session will involve looking at some bisexual and LGBTQ+ zines from the Glasgow Zine Library collection, discussing zine making and why zines are often used by marginalised communities to record their experiences and histories. We will then create our own collage zines using images relating to LGBTQ+ history and the bisexual community.
This event is free, but ticketed. Donations are welcome!
