Albert Road Community Consultation 2 - Online

This event will be held on Zoom. This is a free event, but booking is necessary.

Glasgow Zine Library is moving to a brand new location in Govanhill this year!

In the second of our community consultations, held online, we’re inviting our neighbours, partners and community to come and have their say about how we want to use the space, what kind of activities we offer, and how everyone in the local area can get involved with us in the future.

On the night, Glasgow Zine Library staff will talk a bit about the library and what we do. We will present photos and drawings of each room in the new space and explain how we want to use it.

You’ll be encouraged to leave your thoughts on each room, ask us questions, and tell us what you want to see from us. We want to hear your thoughts about the accessibility of the space, and how it can be improved for you.

By the end, we hope you’ll feel like you will know us better, and understand what we are trying to achieve!

Ticket holders will be sent an link to join in advance of the night.

Date and Time:

15th March, 6-8pm

We’re fundraising to make the new GZL wheelchair-accessible:

The premises currently has two bathrooms right next to each other, as well as a kitchen and several rooms with steps up into them. Our planned refurbishments will involve the removal of two stud walls that separate out the kitchen and two toilets, creating an accessible bathroom and kitchen, in addition to laying an even floor with no steps required.
