This event will be held in person at Glasgow Zine Library.

Welcome to the Open Mic at Glasgow Zine Library! Join us for a night of creativity and expression in the heart of Glasgow's Southside. Whether you're a seasoned performer or trying out the mic for the first time, this event is the perfect opportunity to share your voice and connect with fellow artists. Come to Glasgow Zine Library and be a part of a supportive and inclusive space where all forms of art are welcomed. Don't miss out on this chance to showcase your talent and be inspired by others. *there will be a signup sheet available on the day of. Please only sign up for one time slot if you book in advance. You may sign up for a second slot on the day of, as time allows.

Each person gets 5-minutes maximum or 3 poems, whichever is shortest. Host will queue performers when they have one minute and 30 seconds remaining.

Event runs from 6:30p to 8:30p. If there’s a full sheet, there will be a 15 to 20 minute break in the middle.

BYOB. Tea and small snacks available at venue.

This event is part of our Community Led Programme.

Ticket information

Event capacity is limited to 20. We will limit open mic to 15 performers so that we can maintain a maximum 90 minute runtime with a 15 minute intermission as needed.

This event will take place at Glasgow Zine Library's place on Albert Road. You can find directions here.

You may be asked to wear a mask at this event.

GZL pledges to support The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel. As part of this pledge we may participate in strikes called in response to the ongoing genocide in Palestine. If this event falls on a strike day and is cancelled, we will work with event leaders to reschedule the event asap. Participants will also have the option of receiving an immediate refund for any ticket purchases and travel booked to attend.

How to access the event: 

After booking a ticket, you will be sent several reminder emails from Eventbrite leading up to the event. We will also send emails that share any resources that attendees will need access to, including any required materials.
