Albert Road Community Consultation 1: a walk around the new Glasgow Zine Library

This is a free drop-in event that will take place in-person. No booking required. If you would like to take part please come when it is convenient for you during the time of the event.

Glasgow Zine Library is moving to a brand new location in Govanhill this year!

In the first of our community consultations, held in our new space, we’re inviting our neighbours, partners and community to come and have their say about how we want to use the space, what kind of activities we offer, and how everyone in the local area can get involved with us in the future.

Join us at the new location on the night, where Glasgow Zine Library staff will take you around each room and explain how we want to use it. We’ll have paper for you to write, prompting questions for you to answer, and some visualisations for you to look at.

You’ll be encouraged to leave your thoughts on each room, ask us questions, and tell us what you want to see from us. By the end, we hope you’ll feel like you will know us better, and understand what we are trying to achieve!

There will be free tea, coffee and soft drinks available, and drawing activities for children!

Location of the event:

32/34 Albert Road
Glasgow
G42 8DN

Date and Time:

22nd February, 6-8pm

Other info:

This is intended to be an informal event. Any answers you give may be anonymised, with your suggestions used to improve our future services and outreach. For more information about how we use your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

We’re fundraising to make the new GZL wheelchair-accessible:

The premises currently has two bathrooms right next to each other, as well as a kitchen and several rooms with steps up into them. Our planned refurbishments will involve the removal of two stud walls that separate out the kitchen and two toilets, creating an accessible bathroom and kitchen, in addition to laying an even floor with no steps required.
